In the United States, AT&T, Verizon, and Lumen largely use infrastructure owned by them or legacy telecom systems to provide IPTV options, however on a lesser scale.

5.Emerging Technologies and Upcoming Innovations

5G networks, combined with millions of IoT devices, have transformed IPTV evolution with the integration of AI and machine learning. Cloud computing is strongly supporting AI systems to enable advanced features. Proprietary AI recommendation systems are increasingly being implemented by streaming services to engage viewers with their own distinctive features. The video industry has been revolutionized with a fresh wave of innovation.

A larger video bitrate, via better resolution or improved frame rates, has been a main objective in boosting audience satisfaction and expanding subscriber bases. The advancements in recent years resulted from new standards developed by industry stakeholders.
